It is not necessary, it can be driven without having a boat license, you only need an identity document.

What does the rental fee include?

The rate includes the rental of the dinghy and the authorization to navigate and moor in the A.M.P.

I would like to go on an excursion but I don’t feel very comfortable and confident in driving a dinghy, what could I do?

Tharroservices staff will take care of explaining and showing the techniques for driving the dinghy upon boarding, for a completely safe and peaceful navigation.

I would like to spend a day on a boat with my family but I don’t want to worry about driving the dinghy, what can I do?

You just need to find someone willing to accompany you.

Can I park my car in the port area?

Yes, just one car.

What do I have to do when I arrive to rent the dinghy?

You have to go to the Tharroservices office, in the main dock of the Torregrande marina about 100 meters after the barriers, here the staff explains everything about the navigation area, the rules that regulate it and the areas of greatest interest.
Subsequently, once the rental contract has been signed, the check-in and the delivery of the vessel will take place, here the on-board equipment and driving techniques will be shown.

What about fuel consumption?

The dinghy is delivered with a full tank, upon return you will have to pay the cost for refilling, preferably in cash.

Is it possible to pay by card?

Yes.

Do I have to leave a security deposit before boarding?

Yes, in cash.

FAQ NAVIGATION and EXCURSION

How much time and fuel does it take to get to Mal di Ventre Island?

From the marina it takes about 50 minutes of navigation, fuel consumption depends on how you navigate and how full the dinghy is; for the island of Malu Entu it could take about 25-30 liters.

How much autonomy does the dinghy have?

The dinghy has a 50-litre fuel tank.

Is there also a fresh water tank?

Yes there is a shower in the stern with a 32 litre tank.

How far from the coast can I sail?

You can sail up to 3 miles away from the coast.

Are there any other places I can stop while sailing to Malu Entu Island?

Yes, you can make intermediate stops, you can choose between the Sinis Peninsula, Torre del Saevo, Maimoni and possibly take a swim to visit the wreck of the tugboat on the route.

Can I bring my dog with me on the dinghy?

No.

Can I tow people or things with the dinghy?

No.

Can I fish inside the Sinis-Mal di Ventre Marine Protected Area?

No, it is necessary to have a personal and specific authorization issued by the A.M.P. management body.

Do I have to pay for permission to navigate in the Sinis-Mal di Ventre Marine Protected Area?

No, the authorization is included in the price.

Can I go ashore with the dinghy?

No, you can only unload people and things on land in the corridors set up by the A.M.P. management body and then moor the dinghy in the permitted areas, taking care to enter and exit at minimum speed.

How many people can board?

We recommend taking a maximum of 6 people on board or 7 with children.

I would like to rent a dinghy and spend the day in the A.M.P. Sinis – Mal di Ventre. Since it is a Marine Protected Area I know that it is regulated, how can I be sure to know and not break the rules?
