GENERAL INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS
What types of boats do you offer?
We offer modern BWA 5.50 inflatable boats equipped with a Mercury 40 HP EFI-Pro outboard engine, sunbathing cushions, a sun canopy, and fresh water.
Do I need a boating license to rent a boat?
No, it is not necessary.
Do I need to provide identification to rent a boat?
Yes, you will need the identification of the contract holder, and preferably those of all passengers onboard.
I would like to rent a boat for half a day. What are the available times?
You can choose to rent the boat in the morning from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, or in the afternoon from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
What does the rental price include?
The price includes the boat rental and the authorization to navigate and moor within the Marine Protected Area (A.M.P.) Sinis-Mal di Ventre.
How can I find out the general conditions of the rental contract that I will sign?

Can I park my car in the port area?
Yes, parking is available for one car.
Do you also provide a cooler bag?
Yes, of course, upon request.
Can I bring my dog onboard?
No.
How many people can the boat accommodate?
A maximum of 6 people, or 7 if children are onboard.
Do you have life jackets for children?
Yes.
RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENTS
I’d like to rent a boat for several days this season. Do you offer discounts for repeat customers?
Yes, in the 2025 season, we offer a 10% discount on the price of the second day and a 15% discount on the price of subsequent days.
How can I check the availability of a boat?
You can contact us via chat on the website or directly by phone at +39 334 791 9896.
How can I book a boat?
Once the availability of the boat has been confirmed, you will need to pay 50% of the price as a booking deposit.
How do I pay the booking deposit?
You can make a bank transfer to the following IBAN: IT97F0306917411100000015620, payable to Tharroservices by Gian Marco Salis. Please include the following as the reason for payment: name&surname boat rental full day/half-day AM/half-day PM for the date ..-..-….. Send us a copy of the completed transfer or pay in cash at our office.
What do I need to do when I arrive at the port to rent the boat?
Please come to the Tharroservices office at the main pier, approximately 100 meters after the gate, at the Marina of Torregrande. Our staff will explain everything regarding the navigation area, the applicable regulations, and the main points of interest.
Once the rental contract has been signed, we will proceed with check-in and the handover of the boat, demonstrating the onboard equipment and the techniques for operating the boat.
Is it possible to reschedule a boat reservation?
Yes, subject to availability with Tharroservices.
How can I pay?
You can pay by card or in cash.
Do I need to leave a security deposit before boarding?
Yes, €200 in cash.
How do I pay for the fuel used?
The boat is delivered with a full tank. Upon return, you will need to pay for the fuel consumed, preferably in cash or directly at the fuel station.

Do you provide instructions on how to operate the boat for navigation?
Absolutely. Upon boarding, Tharroservices staff will explain and demonstrate the boat’s operation techniques and provide all necessary information about the areas of interest to ensure you can navigate safely and with peace of mind.
I would like to rent a boat in the coming days, but the weather forecast predicts rough seas from the West-Northwest. Can I still go out?
Yes, you can navigate up to the Sinis Peninsula, spend the day, and swim at La Caletta, the villas, or the ruins of Tharros, within the Gulf of Oristano.
I would like to spend a day on the boat but don’t want to worry about driving it. What can I do?
You just need to find someone available to accompany you. Tharroservices can help you find an experienced person.
What happens if the weather conditions are bad on the day I booked?
Tharroservices generally does not rent boats on adverse weather days. If conditions make it unsafe to navigate and enjoy the day, you will have the option to receive a refund of your deposit or reschedule the date.
How much fuel autonomy does the boat have?
The boat has a fuel tank with a capacity of 50 liters.
Is the boat equipped with fresh water?
Yes, there is a shower at the stern with a 32-liter water tank.
What happens if I accidentally damage the outboard engine propeller during the excursion?
As stated in the rental contract, the damaged propeller must be replaced with a new one at the customer’s expense.
Are there mooring buoys available in the Marine Protected Area Sinis – Mal di Ventre?
Yes, certainly. Onboard the boat, you will have a rope available to moor the boat to the buoy.
How do you moor to a mooring buoy?
To moor to a buoy, approach slowly against the wind or current, stopping near the buoy. Pass the boat’s line through the buoy’s ring and secure it to the bow cleat. Make sure it is firmly fastened and turn off the engine.
EXCURSIONS AND ITINERARIES
What are the most interesting places I can visit by boat?
Depending on the weather and sea conditions, you can choose among the following destinations: the Sinis Peninsula, Turrè Seu, Maimoni, Is Arutas, Mari Ermi, Malu Entu Island, Su Tingiosu, S’Arena Scoada, Putzu Idu, Capo Mannu, and Sa Rocca Tunda.
Can I bring my own snorkeling equipment?
Yes, we recommend it.
Are there any interesting snorkeling spots?
Yes, we suggest visiting the sunken tugboat located 500 meters northwest of the Turr’e Seu tower, at a depth of 4 meters, as well as Mal di Ventre Island and the cliffs of Su Tingiosu.
Are there other places where I can stop on the way to Malu Entu Island?
Yes, you can make intermediate stops, choosing among the Sinis Peninsula, Torre del Saevo, Maimoni, Is Arutas, and Mari Ermi.
How much time and fuel is needed to reach Mal di Ventre Island?
From the Torregrande marina, it takes approximately 50 minutes of navigation. Fuel consumption depends on how you navigate and the boat’s load. For Malu Entu Island, with efficient navigation, you may need approximately 25-30 liters round trip.
I would like to visit the cliffs of Su Tingiosu, Capo Mannu, Putzu Idu, and Sa Rocca Tunda. Will the fuel be sufficient?
Yes, certainly.
If I want to take a boat excursion to the south, where can I go?
By crossing the Gulf of Oristano and passing the Capo Frasca military area, navigating for about 12 nautical miles, you can stop at Punta de S’Aschivoni, in front of Torre dei Corsari, Pistis beach, and continue to Porto Palma, admiring the landscapes of the Costa Verde.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
I want to rent a boat and spend the day in the Marine Protected Area (A.M.P.) Sinis – Mal di Ventre, but I know navigation and stops are regulated. How can I be sure I won’t break any rules?
Upon boarding, you will receive all necessary information about the ordinance from the Oristano Port Authority and the A.M.P. regulations. You can also consult the interactive GIS map in the “Vademecum/Marine Protected Area” section to track your real-time position.
What should I do if I receive a fine during the boat rental?
As stated in the rental contract, the lessee is responsible for paying the fine.
What is the minimum distance from the coast I can navigate?
You can approach up to 300 meters from bathing areas and up to 100 meters from sheer cliffs.
How far from the coast can I navigate?
The onboard safety equipment allows navigation up to 3 nautical miles from the coast.
Do I need to adhere to speed limits while navigating?
Yes, if you are navigating within 500 meters from the coast, the maximum allowed speed is 8 knots, and within buoy fields, it is 3 knots.
Can I tow people or objects with the boat?
No.
Can I fish within the Marine Protected Area Sinis – Mal di Ventre?
No, you need a personal and specific authorization issued by the A.M.P. managing authority.
Can I drop anchor in the Marine Protected Area?
Yes, but only in designated areas and never on Posidonia seagrass beds.
Can I go ashore with the boat?
No, you may only disembark people and belongings in the corridors designated by the A.M.P. managing authority. After that, you must moor the boat in authorized areas, ensuring you enter and exit at minimum speed.
